Your Home Care Team

Ten Years Younger Home Care breaks from the convention of traditional residential care by empowering individuals and their families to live well and live at home.  It is not just about providing quality, in home care, but creating opportunities that build and enhance quality of life. A trip to the beach, hosting a card party or visiting the shops, Ten Years Younger Home Care believes in the importance of maintaining the simple things in life.

Ten Years Younger Home Care was established in 2009 and has since provided in excess of 100,000 hours of home care to happy clients in and around the vibrant city of Cairns, Far North Queensland.

Maureen Fields, Founder

Maureen Fields is a registered nurse with 30 years experience, 15 of which were spent working in, and managing aged care facilities.

Maureen is passionate about the welfare of the elderly and committed to improving the standards of aged care in Australia. As well as founding and overseeing Ten Years Younger Home Care, Maureen is a clinical nurse (and nurse advisor) who supports the clinical management of aged care facilities, ensuring they meet the standards set by government.

It is her mission to ensure people are always at the center of care. In 2015 Maureen was honoured with the title of Cairns Business Women of the Year in their annual awards and was the recipient of the AIM award for Queensland in the same year.

Kevin Fields, Managing Director

For the past ten years KF (one of his many nicknames) has been CEO of the highly successful Cairns-based Home Care business, Ten Years Younger.

The start of Ten Years Younger is testament to Kevin’s love for his wife, Maureen.  A highly awarded nurse with years of experience working in aged care, Maureen wanted more for the elderly people of Cairns.

More care. More respect. More options. And definitely more living life to the fullest.

Care with Dignity and Choice

Ten Years Younger Home Care breaks from the convention of traditional, residential care, empowering individuals and their families to live well at home.

It is not just about providing quality medical care but about creating opportunities that build and enhance quality of life. A trip to the beach, hosting a card party  or visiting the shops, Ten Years Younger believes it’s keeping the simple things alive that make the difference.

No two people are the same and we take great pride in understanding, supporting and nurturing each of our clients as individuals and it is our great pleasure to be able to help them stay in their own homes, lives and stories.

We know we’re doing our job when our clients feel ten years younger.

Our Shining Stars

We are ‘famous for caring’.  This claim is entirely due to the wonderful work our carers do. Understandably we are proud of our team – every member of which is amazing in their own way.  It’s always the people that make the difference.

Our carers are passionate about the work that they do. They are advocates for the ageing community and truly believe that people deserve to live well, irrespective of ability. They selflessly choose to become carers to empower individuals and families to retain their relationships, way of life and ‘stay in their own stories’.
